Premium Four-Protein Complex
Milk contains two
types of proteins, casein and whey. Casein
is 80% of the milk protein,
while whey is
20%. Proteins digest at
different rates. Whey protein is referred to
as the fast digesting protein while casein
is a slower digesting protein.
In
ProTime Plus
we combine a four-protein complex,
so you get the benefit
of each protein. The
whey protein portions will release protein
quickly
to supply your muscles with amino
acids, whereas casein portions
will digest
more slowly to release amino acids over a
prolonged period.
Grass Fed Whey Protein Concentrate 80%
ProTime
Plus
contains a high quality whey protein
concentrate (80%) derived from dairy cows
that have a 100% grass-fed diet. Whey
protein concentrate can help build lean
muscle and aid recovery. Grass fed dairy
contains lower levels of saturated fats and
high concentrations of Omega 3 fatty acids
and conjugated linoleic acids (CLA), which
is a type of omega 6 fatty acid known to
help reduce body fat and have cardiovascular
and metabolic benefits.
Grass Fed Whey Protein Isolate 90%
Our high quality grass
fed whey protein isolate contains a higher
percentage of pure protein (90%) than whey
concentrate. It is highly bioavailable and
is very quickly absorbed into the body. It
has a high concentration of branched-chain
amino acids (BCAAs) which helps fuel working
muscles. The high level of leucine, cysteine
and amino acids, in combination with the
high level of pure protein with practically
zero fats and lactose, has made it a popular
choice for muscle and fitness enthusiast.
Micellar Casein 80%
Micellar Casein is a
rich source of BCAAs and Glutamine. This is
known as the slowest digesting form of
casein as it forms micelles when added to
fluid. It provides a slow release of amino
acids into the bloodstream.
Milk Protein Concentrate 80%
Our Milk Protein
Concentrate at 80% contains micellar casein,
whey proteins, and bioactive proteins in the
same ratio found in milk. This also provides
a difference in the time of release of the
amino acids.
Nootropics Brain Complex
There's a lot of
research on the four ingredients we refer to
as our Nootropics Brain Complex, but we will
give you just a short description of each.
L-Tyrosine:
Tyrosine is an amino acid. Amino acids are
the building blocks of protein. The body
makes tyrosine from another amino acid
called phenylalanine. The body uses tyrosine
to make chemical messengers that are
involved in conditions involving the brain
such as mental alertness.
L-Theanine:
Tea is known to be a rich source of
flavonoid antioxidants. However, tea also
contains a unique amino acid,
Ltheanine that may modulate aspects of brain
function in humans.
Huperzine A:
Huperzine A is a naturally occurring
compound found in the firmoss Huperzia
serrata (Chinese club moss).
There's a ton of research on the benefits of
Huperzine A. It may increase the levels of
acetylcholine and other neurotransmitters in
the brain. One systematic review suggests
that Huperzine A appears to have beneficial
effects on improvement of cognitive
function.
MCT Oil Powder:
Medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) is a
healthy fat that converts to a unique source
of energy called ketones. Ketones are a
clean alternative energy source for the
brain and body. MCT may also help with
weight management.
Prebiotics & Digestive Enzymes
Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) are
found naturally in plants such as onion,
chicory, garlic, asparagus, banana,
artichoke, among many others. They are
calorie free and considered a soluble
dietary fiber and prebiotic, not to be
confused with probiotics. Prebiotics
stimulate the growth of beneficial
intestinal bacteria such as Bifidus and
Acidophilus. Papain is derived from the
fruit of the papaya tree.
Papain
contains substances called enzymes that help
break down proteins within the body.
Lactase
is a digestive enzyme essential to the
complete digestion of milk.
This enzyme helps to digest lactose, a sugar
found in milk and other dairy products.
